Firefly movie deal in works

From SciFi Wire, Josh Whedon has announced he is close to closing a deal for a film version of the series Firefly. A theatrical version is hinged on getting all of the regular cast members back for the project. I for one hope it bears fruit, as Firefly was one of the best SF series made.

Also in the article, it is confirmed that a DVD release of the series, including three unaired episodes, along with other goodies.

Although I only saw a few of the episodes while it ran on Fox, every episode I enjoyed. The series was fresh and crisp; well written and produced. The magic of a cast that melded together well was there, and that is one of the key elements to a successful series.

Here’s hoping that Firefly is able to fly again, as a movie, or once again as a series.
