Never Forget
Today is a solemn day: it is September 11th, 2006, the Fifth Anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Along with the gallant heroes of UA Flight 93, who sacrificed their lives in an attempt to regain control of that aircraft rather than see it slammed into yet another building, over 3,000 people of different nationalities were murdered by Al Qaeda terrorists. Today is a day to remember and honor those who sacrificed their lives trying to save thousands of people who were in the Twin Towers of the WTC; firefighters, police and other first responders, who went into those burning buildings knowing there was a high probability that they, themselves, may well not get out alive.
It is a time to remember the cheers that rang out through the Muslim world, from the Palestinian Territories to Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan; the terrorists and their supporters who celebrated these brutal attacks and the murder of thousands of people in the name of their god. They celebrated in the streets, firing guns into the air, and honoring the murdering thugs that carried out the attacks, calling them heroes and martyrs.
The real heroes were on the ground in New York and Washington D.C. and the real martyrs the passengers on United 93 who attempted to wrest control of that aircraft away from the terrorists.
9/11 was one more attack on America in the jihad that Islamic terrorists have been carrying on for decades; it does not matter whether it was the bombing of airliners over Scotland or a restaurant near Madrid carried out by Libyan terrorists, or the bombing of a German disco; the string of suicide bombings in Israel; or the ’93 bombing of the WTC which marked the rise of Osama bin Ladin and Al Qaeda and lead to the bombings of U.S. embassies and the U.S.S. Cole, and culminating in the attacks on 9/11. It is all the same to them; war on the West, war on America.
