Somalia Al-Qaeda Leader Killed

Yahoo News is reporting that Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, who was believed to be one of the planners for the 1998 Embassy bombings, was killed during U.S. airstrikes in Somalia.

The airstrike in which this terrorist was killed involved the use of AC-130 (Spectre/Spooky) gunship, destroying an al-Qaida training camp located in Somalia. Details are sketchy beyond several camps were targeted and at least one AC-130 gunship was involved.

The terrorist Fazul was a senior member of al-Qaeda in Somalia. He is also believed to have planned the car bombing of a beach in Kenya in 2002.
