Israeili Intelligence: Iran Nukes Within 3 Years
February 5th, 2008 | by Sqotty |Iran’s nuclear weapons program is back on the front page as Mossad director releases its assessment that Iran will have nuclear weapons within three years. This is substantially different than U.S. Intelligence that puts it at 15 years. Based on past performance and who wins the presidential elections, my money is on the Mossad. They have the survival of their nation to think of, and unlike a lot of people in the State Department, the CIA and various other U.S. agencies, they don’t have a political axe to grind against their current administration.
The U.S agencies are relying on the claim that Iran ceased its nuclear weapons program in 2003, a claim by Iran I seriously doubt. Mossad believes that even if Iran did cease the programs in 2003, they have been restarted. I bet they are half-right. I bet the programs were never terminated.
From BreitBart:
Israel has questioned those findings, claiming that although Iran may have temporarily halted its nuclear drive five years ago it has since relaunched it while pressing ahead with a public uranium enrichment programme.
Tehran has always insisted its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes.
As we have learned from North Korea, taking a fox at his word that he will not eat the hens if you let him into the hen house is not a good idea. We have Jimmy Carter and the Clintons to thank for taking OUR money to enable a totalitarian regime to develop nuclear weapons.
Add to this the fact that Iran is continuing to develop its rocket technology and supplies arms to Hezbollah; I would say that a nuclear armed Iran is a bit more disconcerting than North Korea.
With this being an election year, Americans have to take a long, hard look at who we want to lead this country through these troubled waters. Do we want another Clinton, which will all but assure that Iran will have nukes within a couple of years; Obama, who may lead us in nearly the same direction; McCain, who will oppose such; or Romney, who will also oppose allowing Iran to achieve nuclear weapons. And, speaking of nukes, who do you want to trust having their finger on the proverbial button?
