Prince Charles: Sheer Madness
March 7th, 2008 | by Sqotty |His Royal Highness, Prince Charles may be receiving a passing grade in propaganda from the Al Gore School of Global Alarming, however he has received a failing grade when it comes to real science.
From Trinidad News:
“Unfathomably however, there still seem to be some climbing skeptics, those who view the case of rapid action to counter climate change is overstated or indeed completely invented,” he added.
“If I may speak plainly among friends, this is sheer madness. The scientific facts are as plain as they are alarming. Worryingly in the last few months we have learnt that the North Polar ice cap is melting so fast that some scientists are predicting that in seven years it will completely disappear in summer.”
Prince Charles asserts that those who disagree with the Al Gore lunacy that the warming trend of the last several years has been brought about by man-caused carbon emissions as being madness displays a complete lack of understanding of climate science.
Less than 30 years people were clamoring that we were entering a new Ice Age. all of this after huge amounts of carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions were dumped in the atmosphere.
Over a 50 year period, from 1942 to 1992, the Greenland ice sheet grew nearly 300 feet thicker, yet that is considered the norm, while a bit of melt is considered frightening.
It is a scientific fact that the Earth’s climate is dynamic and that there are literally millions of variables that have an impact on it. The biggest and most important variable is solar activity. Then there are cosmic rays and the solar wind; the Earth’s tilt and orbit about the Sun; gravitational effects of the other planets and the Moon; and that’s just a few that come directly to mind. On scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, solar activity rates a 10 while the impact of man is less than 1, but not quite zero.
What will these alarmists say when they are proved wrong about the Earth’s climate? Will they look back and say, “oops, we were wrong, sorry about calling you nuts,” or will they continue to ignore real science and pretend it never happened, or go back to screaming “the sky is falling,” asserting that we may be headed for a another Ice Age again?
Prince Charles should be smart enough to not follow the Al Gore global warming playbook adopted by the U.N. IPCC and actually learn to think for himself. Or at least read a few books on climate science.

forget about al gore, read the data and come to your own conclusion. Mine is things are getting hot and will be for a long while.
(by the way some pople are still saying we are heading for an ice age - so just because some people said this a few years earlier makes little different to figuring out what to do next)
