Bay Area Moonbats Protest the War…Again
March 20th, 2008 | by Sqotty |Bay Area Moonbats celebrated the anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom with their typical pro-terrorist protests and a march through the streets of San Francisco. These people still don’t get it. Counter protests organized by various groups, including the Berkeley College Republicans (I am surprised that there is such a thing allowed on the UC Berkeley campus) were also held.
From Inside Bay Area:
Police used a power saw to cut a chain that was binding anti-war protesters together in San Francisco and more than 140 people were arrested Wednesday during rallies to mark the fifth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
The rallies, which drew hundreds to the city’s busy financial district, were mostly peaceful, though some demonstrators threw glass Christmas ornaments filled with paint at police, said Sgt. Steve Mannina, a San Francisco police spokesman.
This would be the pro-terrorist groups causing the mayhem and being arrested. I find it ironic that they are so vehemently against U.S. military action in Iraq, and yet they resort to violence to get their message across.. I am not, however, surprised that these thugs would resort to criminal violence.
Shouting “One, two, three, four, we don’t want this racist war; five, six, seven, eight, U.S. is a terror state,” they followed the same route that anti-war forces took five years earlier as the attack on Iraq was launched.
“Racist war”? Are these people kidding? “U.S. is a terror state”? What have these people been smoking? Oh, wait, this is California. They’ve probably have been over-imbibing that stuff that comes out of Humboldt County. That stuff that Bill Clinton claims to not have inhaled.
The report goes on to say that there were signs such as “We’ve become the terrorists.” I would have to say that yes, these morons and Code Pinko-philes are the terrorists. What else do you call people who throw glass missiles at the police?
Of course, what pro-terrorist rally would be complete without Cindy Sheehan, the Moonbat who used the death of her son in Iraq to propel herself to fame and the adoration of terrorists and dictators around the world? Sheehan addressed a group of high schoolers (the only ones who will listen to her these days?):
“Flip burgers, do not join the military. They will use you as cannon fodder. You have the right to say ‘Marines, get out of our community,’”
And the Marines have a right to tell their community “Hell No! We won’t go!” and I hope that they do exactly that. I don’t think very many, if any, of these kids will end up flipping burgers for a living, and none will enter the military any way. We’re talking Berkeley, after all.
In other parts of the Bay Area, MoveOnToSurrender.org organized a rally with this little tidbit:
The event honored those who have died, including the nearly 4,000 American soldiers and the 200,000 to 600,000 Iraqi civilians who have been killed, organizers said.
First off, they are still using the highly exaggerated reports on the number of people killed. Not to trivialize the numbers, as there is nothing trivial about 4,000 dead Americans and some 70,000 killed; 70,000 does not come anywhere near 200,000 to 600,000 that the left routine claims are the war casualties. Further, these Moonbats ignore the fact that the number of dead includes: those terrorists killed by U.S. lead coalition forces; terrorists killed by other terrorists; civilians killed by terrorists (the biggest number); and civilians killed as a result of unrelated crimes. In all of that, there are a very few civilians accidentally killed by coalition forces. With the exception of the terrorists that have been killed, either by our forces or by each other, you still have a significant number of people killed that should still be alive. Most of those were killed by terrorists.
Now the real question: are they honoring the terrorists that have been killed? Based on the numbers that they insist on using, they must be doing exactly that, honoring terrorists.
On the upside, protests in Berkeley, since February 12th, have run up a tab of $117,000 in police overtime. I hope the Code Pinkos and their ilk continue to drive up police overtime at city taxpayer expense. With any luck, maybe the price tag for playing nice with Code Pinko and other pro-terrorist groups will get so high that the residents in Berkeley will take action and throw the city council out. And Berkeley better not come sniffing around my wallet looking for financial aide.
