Lest We Forget - Gregory Rundell
March 28th, 2008 | by Sqotty |Minnesota has lost another son in the war on Terror in Iraq this week. I don’t always write about these fine and courageous young soldiers; there are many other voices out there doing a better job of it than I can ever do.
Army Spc. Gregory B. Rundell, a 21-year old soldier from St. Paul was killed on Wednesday near Baghdad.
His mother read a letter that he had written to her before his death. From Twincities.com:
“I don’t want tears of loss,” Rundell had written to his mother, “but tears of happiness for what I was able to do.”
My deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Spc. Rundell.
