Obama Plays Race Card #2
August 2nd, 2008 | by Sqotty |Obama continues playing the race card on the campaign trail. Yep, that’s right, the man who went to Germany and couldn’t say anything more than “Merci beaucoups”, is once again claiming that Republicans will try to use the fact that he is black as a means to get people to vote for McCain. From MyWay News:
“Nobody thinks that Bush and McCain have a real answer to the challenges we face. So what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me,” Obama said. “You know, he’s not patriotic enough, he’s got a funny name, you know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”
Obama is asserting that because he is black, this will be used against him, yet the only people making a big deal of his being black is Obama, himself, and a myriad of leftists. Conservatives and Republicans (yes, these are two different critters) only make hey of it in response to their assertions that Obama’s race is somehow a reason to vote one ay or the other. It is a Ludacris proposition to tell Americans that Republicans would use Obama’s race to “scare” people in to voting for McCain. Newsflash for Obama: no one has to do that to get people to support McCain! All we have to do is point out what you plan to do as president - tax us into oblivion - and let people figure out if you really are the American Messiah.
It is clear to me that Obama, by making such statements, believes that anyone who does not vote for him must be a racist. If Obama were truly qualified to occupy this nation’s highest office, he would stick to discussing the issues and talking about his plans to tackle them, rather than pushing lies and deceit that his race will be used against him in the campaign.
This is not the first time Obama has played this same card. I won’t be surprised if it isn’t the last.
McCain may not be a Ronald Reagan, but Obama is no JFK, unless you mean John Ffin’ Kerry.
