Congressman Lewis Moonbats ’60s Racism to McCain Campaign
October 13th, 2008 | by Sqotty |Looks like we have another winner of the Moonbat Award, this time going to Congressman John Lewis (D- GA.) for his allegations that the McCain Campaign is like some of the civil rights era bombings that took place in the south. Say what?!
From MyWay News:
In a statement issued Saturday, Lewis said McCain and running mate Sarah Palin were “sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse.” He noted that Wallace also ran for president.
“George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights,” said Lewis, who is black. “Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama.”
First off, the only people “sowing the seeds of hatred” are hard-Left Democrats like Lewis and many other Obama surrogates. To them, anyone who doesn’t vote for Obama is either a racist (for those who are not black) or an Uncle Tom ( for those who are black). There is no in-between, no room for political dialogue of ideas; you can’t even talk about Obama’s policy positions without being called a racist.
Congratulations congressman Lewis (D- GA), you are a Moonbat.
