Obama, Joyce, and Gun Control

When it comes to the right and keep arms, they are against it. From wikipedia:

Since 2003, the Joyce Foundation has paid grants totaling over $12 million to gun control organizations. The largest single grantee has been the Violence Policy Center, which received $4,154,970 between 1996 and 2006, and calls for an outright ban on handguns, semi-automatic and other firearms, and substantial restrictions on gun owners. The Joyce Foundation’s position on gun control has led to frequent opposition and criticism from gun rights groups, particularly the National Rifle Association.

Barack Obama was on the board of the Joyce Foundation from 1994 through 2002. During that time large sums of money had been passed on to a vehemently anti-gun organization dedicated to stripping Americans of their right to keep and bear arms.

I am not a one-issue wonder when it comes to politics, but if I were, this would be it. Our rights, all of them, whether we are taking the right to free speech, freedom of religion, or “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” are only made possible by the right of the People to keep and bear arms. As soon as we are stripped of that right, all of our other rights will also fall by the wayside.

Obama has lied in his assertion that he supports the Second Amendment. This is displayed by his past record on various boards for so-called charities and his actions in the Illinois state Senate nd the U.S. Senate. His words, such as his references to rural America clinging to their guns and their religion, also betray the truth of his position on extreme gun control, right down to ending private ownership of guns.

One of his last acts as a director of the Joyce Foundation was to fund the founding of the Second Amendment Research Center headed by Saul Cornell. The internet was to push a reversal of the interpretation of the Second amendment from “The Right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed,” to mean something other than the individual right of Americans as is so clearly and eloquently stated in the text of the amendment.

I visited the Second Amendment Research Center and attempted to go to the “about us” page, but the firewall I was behind detected code that it labeled as malicious. Not sure why, but it is very curious that that should happen on a website such as this one. But I think I will err on the side of caution and not visit that site in depth due to this warning. Here’s the screenshot of what I got.

Obama is not just a terrorists best friend (just ask Weathermen Billy Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn), he is also a criminals best friend. Criminals, terrorists, thugs, and tyrants all love an unarmed and complacent society. So does Barack Obama. And he’ll see to it that any Supreme Court Justices that he may get to appoint will see it that way as well.

There are three sure things we can count on in an Obama presidency: more taxes, more gun control, more poverty. Three things America cannot afford. Keep in mind that the road to tyranny is paved with the blood of an unarmed civilian population.
