Murtha Slams Rural Pennsylvanians Again - Wins Another Moonbat
October 21st, 2008 | by Sqotty |Congressman John Murtha continues to describe rural Pennsylvanians in derogatory terms, now using the term “redneck” as a pejorative. I view such use of the term Redneck as being bigoted in nature. From FoxNews:
Democratic Rep. John Murtha said Monday some of his constituents in western Pennsylvania are “rednecks” and the entire region just five to 10 years ago was “really redneck.”
The comments come one week after he called his own constituents “racist” in an interview with his local newspaper.
“What I said, that indicted everybody, that’s not what I meant at all. What I mean is there’s still folks that have a problem voting for someone because they are black,” Murtha said.
Rednecks, in the modern vernacular, is frequently used by @sshole cityboys as a derisive term, an insult, to describe rural folks, much like the n-word was used by people like Senator Rebert Byrd to refer to black people. Rednecks, according to city boys like Murtha, are ignorant, gun totin’ hicks that display the Confederate Battle Flag (which, according to the PC crowd, is insensitive and racist) and cling to their religion. Whether or not such a person really exists in the rural communities (and, living in a rural community as I do, I know quite a few rural folks…we are anything but racist or ignorant) of America, other than people like Senator Byrd, remains to be seen. Refering to rural people, the people that are usually considered the “salt of the earth”, people who grow our food, raise livestock, and, more often than not, offer themselves up to military service, as rednecks, and as racist, as Murtha has done (again).
This time Murtha, the Congressional Moonbat from Pennsylvania didn’t just stop at calling rural Pennsylvanias “rednecks” in lieu of calling them racist as he did last week, he indirectly called them racist as he claims that they have a problem voting for someone because he is black, meaning they won’t vote for Obama because he is black, meaning they are racist. Which brings us back to square one: Murtha is once again asserting that Western Pennsylvania is made up of racists, this time Redneck racists.
Why is it that anyone who announces their intention of voting for McCain they are automatically assumed to be racist? Is this how you unite a country, by browbeating a segment of the population, calling them something they are not in attempts to silence them and when an election because it fits in with affirmative action? Is this the manner in which Obama wants to win the election, by calling his opponents racist, as he has done on several occasions by asserting the GOP will use his race against him in the election (which, incidentally, has not happened). Will dissent be considered racist when Obama is President? Inquiring minds want to know?
Meanwhile, Murtha garners yet another Moonbat Award for describing rural Pennsylvanians as racist rednecks. Congratulations Congressman Murtha, you really are a Moonbat. And a bigoted one at that.
