Hanging Effigy of Palin in West Hollywood
October 27th, 2008 | by Sqotty |Riddle me this: why is it considered acceptable to have a hanging effigy of Sarah Palin, but not Barack Obama? don’t misunderstand me to think that it is okay in either case, as in neither case to I consider it acceptable., But, apparently, in West Hollywood, it is perfectly okay to have an effigy of Palin hanging around.
From CBS2.com:
First, a rumor got started that city officials were going to ban Sarah Palin drag queens at its upcoming costumed street party, which draws some 500,000 people annually.
The rumor turned out to be false, but tonight comes word that a mannequin has been outfitted to look like Palin — with glasses, a beehive wig and a red business suit — and is hanging from a noose outside a WeHo residence.
Okay, I think a parade of drag queens dressed as Palin might actually be funny. I have no problem with that, and, if they do have a huge turnout of draggies as Palin, power to them. Gotta wonder if any of them will dress as Sarah on a hunting trip.
But having a hanging effigy of Palin, complete with noose, is way out of line. This shows exactly how sick the radical Left is in their hatred for Republicans. And that’s all it is, hatred.
“It should be seen as art and it should be seen within the month of October. It is Halloween. It’s time to be scary. It’s time to be spooky,” Morrisette said.
If this is his idea of art and spooky, then I would hate to see what he considers to be a sickening display and evil. Such a display, whether we are talking Palin or Obama, is unacceptable any time of the year.

Morrisette is a silly person who doesn’t know how to carry on a serious political conversation. Threats of violence or perceived threats of violence against any candidate are a threat to our way of life. It is not acceptable to have an effigy of Barack Obama or Sarah Palin or of anyone else as much in the public eye as are those two. It is sad that Mr. Morrisette can not find a way to contribute more constructively to our national political conversation, but being the hate-filled humorless liberal that he is I guess we can’t expect more. I am so happy that he has been able to bring out the tired liberal childish rationalization for his lack of political imagination, namely, that we should see his inflammatory silliness as art. At least Mr. Morrisette has the satisfaction of not only having failed to say anything of any real political value, he has also failed to create any thing worthy of the name art. Now if only those in charge of saving our government and our financial system can learn to practice his type of two birds with one stone economy with more constructive results.
