Cuba Demands Return of Guantanamo Bay
January 30th, 2009 | by Sqotty |The now “retired” dictator of Cuba, Fidel Castro, darling of Hollywood elites, Moonbats, and tyrants around the world, is back in the news, now demanding that the U.S. return Guantanamo Bay military base to Cuba. Somehow I don’t think Obama’s response will be “come and get it.” More than likely The One will simply hand over the keys, peacefully, and call it “good.”
Never mind the fact that Guantanamo Bay has been a U.S. territory since 1903.
From FoxNews:
The ailing 82-year-old former president wrote that if the U.S. doesn’t give the U.S. base at Guantanamo back to Cuba, it will be a violation of international law and an abuse of American power against a small country.
Not sure how Castro figures that it is an illegal possession of the terrirtory as the article points out that the area was granted to the U.S. over a hundred years ago and the treaty involved cannot be abrogated unless done so by both parties.
Of course, what really ticks me off is that the article refers to the mass-murdering Castro brothers as “presidents”, rather than the blood-thirsty dictators responsible for the execution of untold thousands of political dissidents that they truly are.
Should the U.S. return Guantanamo Bay to dictators? No.
Will Obama capitulate and return it to dictators. Probably yes. It wouldn’t surprise me. And the left will cheer such action as being a great day and a victory. And the Castros will laugh, and the terrorists will sing, and dictators around the globe will look for a new weakness to exploit.
Any guesses as to when President Smeghead Obama will return Guantanamo to Cuban control? I pick January 8, 2011.
