Obama Political Failure #4

Didn’t Obama run on a platform of being a “Uniter, not a divider” and a willingness to reach across the aisle to maintain a bipartisan spirit? How long doid he maintain that façade? Two minutes? Maybe?

Comrade Obama, as Glenn Beck has taken to referring the least experienced and qualified president in American history, is pushing hard to get his Trillion dollar theft of the American taxpayers passed, by brow-beating those in opposition to the plan; people who are in opposition, in some cases, at least, for darn good reasons.

In an impassioned opinion piece in the Washington Post, Obama demanded that Congress act swiftly to provide the massive infusion of federal spending — pressing his case on an emergency package for which he has struggled to win bipartisan backing.

You won’t get bipartisan backing be trashing the opposition or pushing an legislation that has not been fully debated. Has anyone in Congress actually read the d@mned thing?

Then, like FDR, uses the bully-pulpit to falsely assert there will be dire consequences if his stimulus package is not immediately passed. I guess he believes another 500 Million Americans will lose their jobs this month if it isn’t implemented NOW. We know Pelosi sure believes it.

“What Americans expect from Washington is action that matches the urgency they feel in their daily lives — action that’s swift, bold and wise enough for us to climb out of this crisis,” a clearly frustrated Obama wrote.

Republicans charge the stimulus plan is loaded down with pet Democratic spending and ignores the curative powers of tax cuts.

Like money for Acorn, motion picture film for Hollywood (supposedly removed from the bill), 88 Million for the Coast Guard (why the heck is this in a “stimulus bill”?), nearly a billion dollars for a new Homeland Security building and furnishings (again, why is this in a “stimulus bill”?), and more (check Michelle Malkin for a longer list). Many of these do NOT belong in a “stimulus” bill. And you can bet that tax cuts, something that will actually do some good, have been watered down as much as possible.

Obama hotly disagreed, saying Republicans were promoting a failed theory, “the notion that tax cuts alone will solve all our problems; that we can meet our enormous tests with half-steps and piecemeal measures; that we can ignore fundamental challenges such as energy independence and the high cost of health care and still expect our economy and our country to thrive.”

Taxcuts providng economic stimulus is not a theory, it is a fact. Look at the U.S. during and shortly after the Harding Administration cut taxes, or Reagan-era taxcuts. How about Ireland and some of the former Eastern-block countries that have implemented tax rates lower than here in the U.S? There is plenty of proof that taxcuts WORK! Only a Marxist would fail to see that. Or an ignorant fool. Both of which are a dangerous threat to American Liberty.

Energy independence? Sounds good. What’s Obama’s plan to achieve it? Bankrupt the coal industry, kill of the nuclear energy industry, and stop any new oil development in U.S. territory. That’s energy independence? I suppose he wants everyone to use mercury-laden compact fluorescent light bulbs made in China using slave labor.

As for the high cost of healthcare, there are three things that can be done immediately: secure our borders; deport illegal aliens (all of them!), and get government out of the healthcare business. HMOs have been the biggest reason that healthcare costs have soared. Getting more government control only moves us closer to Socialism and takes away our Liberties in choosing the healthcare we want.

Whether or not this theft of the American taxpayer is passed and becomes law, it will still be one of Obama’s biggest political failures; It it passes, it will create a Trillion dollars of new debt for our children to pay, making it a failure, as well as extending the current economic downturn, making it a double failure; if it doesn’t pass, then it will be afailure for him as leader to not get his Marxist agenda pushed through Congress and foisted on the American people. Lose-lose for Obama; Lose(if it goes through)-Win(if it fails) for the American people.
