Moonbat Award for Political Terrorists Comment

August 8th, 2009 | by Sqotty |

It’s been a while since I have done one of these, but Steven Pearlstein has proven himself more than worthy for the illustrious Moonbat Award for his column in which he refers to patriotic Americans who voice their opposition to ObamaCare as being “political terrorists.” Yep, that’s right, in his world view, dissent is not patriotic, but terrorism.

Here’s what Pearlstein wrote in his column:

The recent attacks by Republican leaders and their ideological fellow-travelers on the effort to reform the health-care system have been so misleading, so disingenuous, that they could only spring from a cynical effort to gain partisan political advantage. By poisoning the political well, they’ve given up any pretense of being the loyal opposition. They’ve become political terrorists, willing to say or do anything to prevent the country from reaching a consensus on one of its most serious domestic problems.(emphasis added - SMK)

Just in case they scrub it, here’s a screenshot:

Let’s see, what are some things that we’ve heard in recent years, or seen, for that matter, that would also qualify. How about Dan Rather’s bogus report on Dubya’s National Guard service. Would that qualify as “political terrorism”? How about all the “no war for oil” nuts? Are they now “political terrorists”. What about Joe Biden with his “paying taxes is patriotic”? Does that mean all of the tax protestors are also “political terrorists”? And then there’s all the moonbats that tore up the streets of St. Paul last year because they hate Republicans? Okay, maybe those in that last could qualify as real terrorists.

Maybe, in Pearlstein’s little brain, I am a “political terrorist” for criticizing his column and giving him the coveted Moonbat award. What else have I done that he hasn’t. Oh, yeah, I’ve served in the Armed Forces of our country.

My hat’s off to you, Steven Pearlstein. Congratulations! You are the latest winner of the Moonbat Award. You rank right up there with Nancy Pelosi’s calling protestors “Nazi’s”. But she’s a Moonbat with a capital “M”.
