Czars, Czars, Everywhere Czars
September 4th, 2009 | by Sqotty |What a week. Yet another unaccountable politically appointee of The One is in the news in a big way. Van Jones, Obama’s “Green Jobs Czar” first made it in the news when a youtube clip of him stating that Republicans are “assholes” made the rounds. Now we learn the Marxist is also a “truther“, as in, believes it is the Bush Administration who is to blame for 9-11. Truthers rank somewhere between Holocaust Deniers and Birthers on the scale.
I thought Jones was way out of line with his comment that Republicans who were “stonewalling” Obama’s policies and Democratic legislation because they are “assholes” was over the top. But this is even more so.
For the record, the real assholes are the ones who promised change and a new era of non-partisan politics and yet insist on ramming legislation through without any input from the minority party. That’s how they are doing business in Washington now. The attitude of Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the other Dems is “our way or the highway.” That is not uniting people, but dividing them.
But this clown keeps on giving. I just read a piece from 1999 about a protest march in support of cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal in which Van Jones was one of the coordinators. Why is this asshole, to use his favorite word, on the White House staff? Who vetted him? Did the Secret Service object to him, and, if so, who over-ruled them?
Next we learn that Cass Sunstein, yet another unaccountable “czar”, advocates taking the organs of the deceased without explicit consent.
What is with all of these political appointees that are by-passing the “advise and consent” rule of the Constitution? I know it has been going on for some time, but this is ridiculous! Obama has more unaccountable “czars” (maybe Fuehrers is a better term) than cabinet members. And how much are We, the People, paying these idiots?

For the record, after looking it up, I am also shocked and dismayed by how many of these unccountable political appointees Bush had. Check out the wikipedia entry on “czars“. Bill Clinton (with 7) had fewer than Bush (with 35). Obama currently has 32 of these appointees, and is subject to grow. Sadly, it doesn’t have any details on how much these people are paid.
