House Votes to Defund ACORN

September 17th, 2009 | by Sqotty |

I just took a look at the House roll call vote for defunding ACORN. I am surprised that 75 Democrats voted in opposition of defunding this organization. When looking at the numbers, it is unsurprising that TWO of these representatives are from Minnesota: Keith Ellison (CD2) and Betty McCollum (CD4), both from the Twin Cities.

What they are saying by voting against defunding ACORN is that they are okay with government money, i.e. taxpayer dollars, being handed over to a corrupt organization that has on several occasions been caught willing to aid people in setting up brothels and child prostitution rings. HEY! WAKE UP TWIN CITIES! DO YOU REALLY WANT THIS KIND OF REPRESENTATION?

I guess we’ll find out next year that the answer is yes.

ACORN has been at the center of attention when a series of videos came out where a couple posed as a pimp and hooker wanting ACORN’s assistance in setting up a brothel in various cities, and even mentioned plans of bringing in foreign “help” in the form of young (underaged) girls. ACORN representatives not only offered to help get their housing needs met, but offered to help falsify tax returns and much, much more.

This is on the heels of years of voter fraud investigations. Got news for you: it shouldn’t have taken this kind of action to get ACORN defunded.

So, Twin Cities, keep in mind that with making all of Minnesota a laughing stock by sending a clown to the Senate, we now two Congressmen who think the Happy Hooker’s plan is A-Okay!

I can see the campaign now: Ellison and McCollum voted YES to support child prostitution! Same is true with my former Congressman, Pete Stark. I guess he likes hookers, too.

IN all, 172 Democrats and 173 Republicans voted to terminate Federal funds to ACORN. Now that’s what I call bipartisanship.
