Extradite Polanski Now!

There is no doubt in my mind that Switzerland should immediately deport the child rapist Roman Polanski to the United States. I haven’t had much time to write about this issue, and my outrage over Hollywood’s continued support of this sick bastard is disgusting. Now I learn there are a number of petitions out there, the most famous of which is sponsored by a French Organization that has signatures of a lot of international nobodies, Woody Allen and Terry Gilliam.

Whoopi Goldberg is sickening on record at the view as stating that it wasn’t “rape-rape”, whatever that is supposed to mean. And none of the cackling hens on the view challenged Goldberg by stating the facts: Polanski liquored up, drugged, raped, and sodomized a 13-yeear old girl. If that isn’t rape, then I don’t what is.

Polanski then fled the country after pleading guilty to the lesser charge of “of statutory rape” that he got out of plea bargaining. Part of the condition of that plea agreement is that he would serve is time for the crime.

There are some Hollywood elites that believe that Polanski’s 40-odd days in jail is sufficient time for the crime. That’s an opinion I do not share.

Polanski has been on the lamb for 32 years. It is well past time that justice is served and that he is incarcerated for the actual crime and not the plea-bargained lesser charge. He is a sex offender and should be treated as such, not idolized as the Hollywood elites do.

There is no excuse that Polanski can give to acquit him of his actions. Even if the courts only sentence him for the lesser charge of statutory rape, then can, and should, prosecute him for fleeing the country.

For those in Hollywood who think Polanski is just misunderstood and shouldn’t be imprisoned, ask yourself this: Would you be okay with it if it had been your 13-year old daughter he drugged and raped?

Meanwhile, I have to wonder: Has anyone started a petition to “Extradite Polanski so Justice can be served”, or, more accurately, “For Switzerland to extradite his ass so we can finally incarcerate the child rapist”? That’s a petition I would sign.
