Wealthy to Gather for Obama/Biden
October 7th, 2009 | by Sqotty |From the realm of the unbelievable, also known as Minnesota, Robert Pohlad, son of the late Karl Pohlad (and owner of the Twins), is hosting a fundraising event asking $7,600 per person to meet non-other than Smokin’ Sloe Joe Biden. Yep, that’s right, seventy-six hundred smackers and you can meet The One’s Court Jester. Twice that for couples.
It is amazing how frequently you hear Democrats rail about “those evil rich people” and claim that the wealthy are all Republicans, yet to afford a ticket to this event YOU HAVE TO BE WEALTHY! Normal work-a-day people, which I am one, can’t afford to drop this kind of money. And, quite frankly, I wouldn’t if it was just a rendezvous with Joe Biden. I wouldn’t pay $76 to see him. Or McCain. Sarah Palin, well, maybe. But I wouldn’t pony up four digits of my hard earned cash to see Reagan, let alone to see Biden.
The fundraiser dinner, exclusively for wealthy Liberals, is scheduled for October 15th in Edina. No mention of what will be served is mentioned, but I don’t think it will be burgers and hotdogs. Oh, and for the really wealthy, there is the $30,400 option and get listed as co-chair of the event.
All I can say is: It must be nice being a wealthy Liberal Democrat with money to toss down the drain. Wouldn’t it be better, and nobler, to give that kind of money to a charitable organization that helps those in need rather than giving it to the Obama Political Machine.
