Say No to Dede in NY-23

Michelle Malkin has asked the question: “Can the Republican establishment hear conservatives now?” in regards to GOP support of the hard-Left “Republican” Dede Scozzafava. Unfortunately, I think the answer is “No”. The GOP would rather be French. By that I mean, the GOP is happy if they can beat other Republicans and don’t mind losing to Democrats. Which is what may happen in NY-23 if they don’t pull their head’s out of it and show support for Hoffman.

Support a hard-Left Liberal, big tent policy, which is driving the Republican base, the people that put the “C” in conservatism, out of the GOP and sending it the way of the Dodo, or French aristocracy. The GOP attitude towards conservatives is “Let them eat cake”.

There it is, the French Connection. The French never won a war other than the French Revolution, and that was against the French.

So it is going with the Republican Party, and it’s desire to only win elections against other Republicans. And so it is with NY-23 with the battle between a Republican named Hoffman, a Leftwing nut named Dede who wants people to believe she is something other than a Democrat in GOP clothing, and some Democrat. A safe Republican district may now end up electing a Democrat because the Powers that be would rather support a liberal than a conservative. The power players want Dede, the grassroots in NY-23, the party base, want Hoffman.

When I sent in my most recent GOP survey, I was sure to include a message with it: No money for RINOs. If the GOP wants to spend money supporting Leftie the Liberal, then all I can say is: no more money from me. Nada mas. I’ll continue to support individual candidates so long as they understand the American Ideals of 1776. But not a dime for the party coffers or for Lefties.

NY-23 isn’t my district, or even in my state, but I have to echo what so many other people are saying: It is time for Scozzafava to withdraw from the race. It is the right thing to do, as well as being the best thing for the party she claims to be in.
