Back From Vacation

December 5th, 2008 | by Sqotty |

After an extended vacation in Oregon for Thanksgiving with my mom and my sister and her family, it’s time to get back to work.

This was one very memorable vacation…for the wrong reasons. We started out the trip to Oregon with Orycon 30. Shortly after the con, Anna came down with the stomach flu. Fortunately it cleared up by Thanksgiving Day. Unfortunately, my mom, my sister, brother-in-law, and father-in-law (who came up from San Jose) all contracted it as well. I even had a mild dose of it.

As it turns out, there is a blog posting on the con at Trip’s Brain that mentions there is a note on the Orycon mailing list that about a third of the con came down with this. I’d like to personally thank the @sshole who thought it was more important to go to a convention (or work, if it was a hotel employee) than to stay home and recuperate (and not spread the d@mn thing around). Unfortunately we may never find out who the jerk is. Thanks a bunch.

Tasha was happy to come home from the Doggie Camp.

We have snow on the ground.

And temps hit single digits yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota senatorial recount is nearing completion. The fact that remains unchanged is that Coleman is still in the lead. Hopefully that will remain true when the recount is completed.

Now it’s back to work.
