Combat Ops Iraq

September 10th, 2010 | by Sqotty |

How many people remember Obama’s campaign promise that he would remove ALL U.S. troops from Iraq within his first 16 months of office? Now, nearly 20 months after Obama was sworn into office, he has declared an end to combat operations in Iraq, and the last combat brigades left that nation in mid-August.

Some 50,000 American troops remain in Iraq, and since the end of combat operations, U.S soldiers are still engaged in combat there.

I could have sworn combat operations were over. Did I miss something somewhere?
